Ahead of the festive season celebration, Tata Motors has launched the XM+ variant of Tata Hexa. The second last variant in the lineup is priced at Rs 15.27 Lakhs.
Tata Hexa gets a new ‘XM+’ variant in its lineup. On the occasion of the ongoing festive season, Tata has launched a new variant which sits up the XM variant and below the top-end XT variant. The new variant gets some cosmetic upgrades and minor feature additions from the top-end XT variant. The total count is 16 additions to the XM+ variant. The variant is priced at Rs 15.27 Lakhs. On the exterior, the Tata Hexa XM+ gets new 16-inches Charcoal Grey Alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it gets Soft-Touch Dashboard with Hexa branding, Leather-wrapped steering wheel and Fully Automatic Temperature Control with Dual AC.

New feature additions include front fog lamps, Reverse parking sensors, Reverse parking camera, cruise control, Automatic Headlamps, Rain-Sensing Wipers and Electrically Adjustable and Foldable outside mirrors. Also, Hexa gets an optional electric Landscape sunroof as an accessory. It can be fitted at the dealership level.
Now, let’s see what the Tata Hexa XM+ misses out from the XT variant.
The XM+ misses out on 19-inch diamond cut alloys and some chrome inserts on the outside. In the interior of the Hexa, it just misses out on Premium upholstery.
Main differences are in the features list. XM+ misses out on 10 speakers JBL sound system, optional 4X4 drivetrain and optional AT gearbox. Due to which, it misses Sports Mode with Race Car function available in the AT variant and Torque on Demand, which comes in the 4X4 variant.

Rest of the missing features include Retractable Window Sunblinds and Smart USB charging. In terms of safety, XM+ comes only with Dual Front Airbags, opposed to XT’s 6 airbags. Also, it misses on ESP, Roll Over Mitigation, Traction Control system, and Hill Descent Control.
All the remaining features of the Tata Hexa XM+ are same as in XT variant.
The Hexa comes in two engine options – 2.2L Varicor 320 and 2.2 Litre Varicor 400. The Varicor 320 comes only in the base variant. It produces 149 BHP power and 320 Nm torque. The Varicor 400 comes in other remaining variants. It produces 156 HP power and 400 Nm of torque.

For transmission duties, Hexa uses 5-speed MT in the base XE variant., 6-speed manual in the rest of the variants and 6-speed Automatic Unit.
The prices of Hexa start from Rs 12.57 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 17.97 Lakhs. Between the XM+ and XT variant, there is a price difference of around 1.4 Lakhs. The XE and XM variants are 7-seater variants, while the XT and its three versions can also opt for a 6-seater arrangement.
