The prices of each variant of Tata Harrier have been jacked up. The SUV now starts at Rs 13 Lakhs to Rs 16.56 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Tata Harrier was launched in Jan 2019 at an introductory price of Rs 12.70 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It was priced very competitively as it was originally meant to go against Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass.
Based on the current prices, it undercuts both its rivals and actually goes against Hyundai Creta and Mahindra Scorpio, which are a segment down. Right from the launch, it received an overwhelming response in the market.
However, the good time is over and the introductory prices remain no more. The prices of Tata Harrier are now up by Rs 30,000-35,000 on each variant. Here is the complete price list:
Variants/Prices | New Price (Lakhs) | Old Price (Lakhs) |
XE | 13 | 12.7 |
XM | 14.06 | 13.75 |
XT | 15.25 | 14.95 |
XZ | 16.56 | 16.21 |

Tata Harrier gets a 2.0 Litre turbocharged diesel engine, that produces 140 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The AT gearbox is scheduled to launch in India by this year.
Tata has also commenced testing of the BS-6 engine of the Harrier. Its 7-seater version, Buzzard, is also launching in India by next year. The AT variant as well as the BS-6 engine is expected to come on the Buzzard, which will then come on Harrier.
