Tata Harrier teaser images on Tata Motors official website reveals an SUV which looks exactly like the H5X concept from the 2018 Auto Expo!
The Tata Harrier is going to launch on India during the month of January 2019. Ahead of its official launch, Tata Motors has been teasing us with a series of information and images related to its all-new premium SUV. Recently, the homegrown automaker announced that it has commenced the bookings of the Harrier in India at a token amount of INR 30,000. With this, it has also released a semi-camouflaged image of this SUV on its official website.
And just as promised to us at the 2018 Auto Expo, the Tata Harrier (Read More) SUV does indeed look quite similar to the H5X concept. From its side profile, one can clearly see the similarities that the Harrier has with the H5X concept. This SUV comes with quite a muscular silhouette and you can clearly make out the swelled wheel arches.
Just like the H5X, the Tata Harrier too comes with a sloping roofline which thanks to the d-pillar, gives a floating appearance. The headlights sit below the LED daytime running strip and are not in the conventional layout. The ORVMs are mounted on the window sills and gets a black dual-tone scheme.

The Tata Harrier comes with a shark fin antenna along with a small roof-mounted spoiler at the back. The tail-lamps, just like the front set of LED daytime running lights, adorn a very sleek design.
So far, we do not have any specific details regarding the interiors of this SUV from Tata Motors. However, we can safely speculate that the Harrier is going to offer a premium experience to its occupants.

Just like its recent products, the Harrier is also expected to come with a host of features on board. Creature comforts like a dual-zone climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery, rear AC-vents among the others will make a sure shot appearance in this SUV.
The Tata Harrier is going to come with a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine. Tata Motors has said that this engine is going to come with an electronic variable geometry turbocharger. Not only this, but it will also offer various driving modes. The Diesel engine, the homegrown automaker says has been paired with a terrain response system. So far there is no word on the availability of a petrol engine in its line-up.

However, we do know that the Tata Harrier is going to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. In addition to this, a Hyundai sourced torque converter automatic transmission option will be on offer.
According to recently leaked information, the prices for the Tata Harrier are expected to fall in the range of INR 13. lakhs to 18 lakhs. If this turns out to be true, it will make the Harrier a very aggressively priced product from Tata in the compact SUV segment. Naturally, it will go against the likes of Mahindra XUV 500 and the Jeep Compass.
