The electric version of the Harrier has been spied testing on our roads for a long time
The Tata Harrier EV has finally been unveiled at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in New Delhi. Harrier, along with Safari, is the flagship product from the Indian auto giant in our market in the ICE category. Also, Tata Motors is the largest EV maker in the country. It has the largest market share on the back of electric cars it offers which are mostly converted from their ICE counterparts. Similarly, even the Harrier EV draws a lot of inspiration from the diesel-powered Harrier. Still, there are tons of new-age elements both on the outside and inside. Let us take a look at the details here.
Tata Harrier EV Revealed at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025
The large electric SUV borrows most exterior styling elements from the regular Harrier. Still, there are some tweaks to set the two apart. At the front, it gets a connected LED light strip which runs the width of the SUV and culminates into LED DRLs. Apart from that, the main headlamp cluster lies on the extreme edges of the bumper. Also, the lower section contains rugged elements to accentuate the overall road presence. On the sides, there are elegant alloy wheels, chunky wheel arches, black side pillars and faux roof rails. Finally, the rear end borrows the overall appearance from the regular Harrier with the connected LED taillamps, a shark fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler and an adventurous bumper.
Features and Specs
We know how important in-cabin amenities are for new-age customers. They want their vehicles to possess all the bells and whistles. Hence, carmakers introduce all sorts of latest tech to pamper the occupants. However, the carmaker didn’t showcase what the interior of the electric SUV looks like. Similarly, there is barely any information about the specifications. Nevertheless, it is expected that it will come with two battery pack options – 60 kWh and 80 kWh. More details will surface later.
My View
Today was just a glimpse of what the Tata Harrier EV looks like. Unfortunately, there were not too many details about the features, cabin, technology or performance specifications. For that, we will need to wait a bit longer. Having said that, Tata Motors showcased the Sierra EV, as well as Avinya concept, both from the outside alone.
