The dimensions of Tata Harrier came out, from which we can say that it is bigger than Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass. The launch is scheduled in early 2019.
As the launch of Tata Harrier is nearing, more details of the SUV are surfacing. The latest leak gives information about its dimensions. Looking at the dimensions, we can say that Harrier is bigger than Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV 500 and Jeep Compass.
Harrier is 4598mm long, 1894mm wide and 1714mm tall. It gets a wheelbase of 2741mm, but the ground clearance figures stand unknown. However, as per reports, Harrier will have enough ground clearance, as it will be a mild off-roader.

It gets two tire options based on the variants – 235/70 R16 and 235/65 R17. This means the top-end variant would have a bigger tire than the other variants.

Interestingly, these are not the only details that have come out recently. As per Tata’s new tweets, Harrier gets a drive selector mode, which also comes in the Hexa. Drivers can choose between Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road options.

Tata Harrier gets JBL sourced woofer and subwoofer setup. The 10-speaker audio system replaces Tata’s usual Harmon Kardon music system. It comes with the tagline, ‘The new Benchmark of Acoustic Bliss’.
Another segment first feature of Harrier includes a centre-armrest placed cooled storage box. The cooled storage is below the centre-armrest and can accommodate up to 2 drinks with some space for eatables.
Various online reports also suggest that Harrier might not get an All-Wheel-drive system. It will just come with different terrain modes without the option of the off-roading feature. Most of the buyers expected it to come with this off-road feature.
The SUV will come with a 2.0 Litre KYROTEC diesel engine, that is basically a rebadged version of the Fiat’s Multijet engine. The engine produces 140 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque.

For transmission purposes, it will come with a 6-speed manual setup at the time of the launch. Later, an automatic unit will be introduced on the diesel engine.
Later in 2019, Tata Motors will also launch the 7-seater variant of Harrier, which was spotted testing recently. 7-seater Harrier will compete with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas, Honda CR-V and Ford Endeavour.
