Here is another example of the safety aspect of the Tata Harrier visible in this crash. Tata is renowned for making the safest cars in India. It all started with the Nexon back in 2017. It became India’s first 5-star NCAP safety-rated car. The compact SUV gained in popularity, thanks to people becoming more aware of the importance of safety equipment in a car and the government pushing for safer cars to be manufactured. Today, Tata has a 5-star safety premium hatchback, Altroz too. These images represent an unfortunate incident but also highlight the safety and build quality of the Harrier. Let us take a look at the particulars of this accident.

Tata Harrier Safety
The images have been shared by one Lalit Sharma, the owner of the Tata Harrier involved in the crash. He has used the platform of Facebook to share his experience. According to him, his Harrier hit the divider and rolled on. As is clear from the images, there is huge damage to the mid-size SUV. However, the talking point is the fact that he claims that the airbags did not deploy and he is also struggling with the insurance claim. But it must be understood that in such scenarios where the car doesn’t hit something head-on or from the side, airbags are not supposed to deploy. A car rolling over doesn’t warrant the airbags to get opened as it might cause more injury to the occupants. The solution is to ensure that you wear seatbelts that will hold you in your place.

Other active safety features like Rol-Over Mitigation along with passive safety features like ABS, EBD, Airbags, etc must be considered as damage mitigation and not damage prevention. These safety features can be of immense help in case of a crash, as with this Tata Harrier. One must always adhere to the traffic rules and drive responsibly. That is the only way to maximize the safety of you and your loved ones.
