Tata showcased the 7-seater Harrier or the Gravitas at the Auto Expo 2020. It looks very identical to the BS6 Harrier with minor differences on the exterior and interior. Actually inside the cabin, lies the biggest difference that is the third-row seating.
It will come in two seating arrangements – a 6 seater as well as a 7-seater. With the six-seater, you have separate captain seats on the front row with a joint two-seater seat on the third row. The 7-seater will get a joint three-seater bench on the second row.
Here are all the details that you need to know about the Gravitas:

Recently, there were reports suggesting that Tata is working on this petrol engine for Harrier and Gravitas. The former will get it earlier. The engine is supposed to produce more than 150 PS and about 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be a four-cylinder Revotron, developed on the three-cylinder one from Nexon.

Gravitas will get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard with both the engines. Following that, you will get the option of a 6-speed AT with the diesel engine. Competition and Rivals
Gravitas will compete with the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass and Toyota Innova Crysta. XUV 500 and Innova are 7-seater cars. Also, with this price range, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai Tucson and Isuzu MUX. Of course, Gravitas will come in as a cheaper alternative to Honda CRV and Mahindra Alturas G4.
In short, its list of competitors will include all SUVs priced in the 15 to 30 Lakhs range. With the right price, Gravitas is sure shot to be a popular choice. That’s also because Harrier gained immense popularity from day one.
