Story Behind Tata Nexon’s New Steering Wheel
This post comes from _etauto and the_economic_times on Instagram. It captures the interview of Martin Urlkahik, Global Design Head at Tata Motors. Here, he explains the inspiration behind the new two-spoke steering wheel on the Nexon facelift. He mentions that while thinking about designing the new design, the designer thought of gaming consoles of Play Station and Xbox and how they are used to interact with the system. Hence, simplicity is at the core of this steering. These consoles have a distinct appearance, making it user-friendly and easy to interact with the games. That makes the steering wheel not just a mechanical component. A similar idea is behind the touch-sensitive HVAC controls.
