Here is an exciting Tata Altroz vs Maruti Baleno drag race competition. Both these are prominent premium hatchbacks in our market. On one hand, the Altroz is the only 5-star safety-rated hatchback in the country. That is a crucial reason for its massive success. Additionally, it offers buyers a whole host of powertrain options and the latest tech and convenience features. On the other hand, the Maruti Baleno has been topping the sales charts since its inception. No other premium hatchback has even come close to beating it. It comes just with a single petrol powertrain and a lot of new-age features to keep the customers excited. Let us take a look at the details of this drag race.

Tata Altroz vs Maruti Baleno Drag Race
Charlie Vlogs conducts this competition on YouTube. Interestingly, they have the turbo petrol version of the Altroz. Before the first round, they set up parameters to make the competition comparable. This includes having the races with the AC off, Traction off and the vehicles being in their sportiest settings. For the first two rounds, there are three people in the Baleno and just two people in the Altroz. Unsurprisingly, the latter was convincingly able to trounce the competition throughout the entire length of the drag strip.

For the third round, there were two people in both cars. However, there was no difference in the final results. After witnessing the sheer dominance of the Altroz, they decided to perform the drag race while keeping the AC on in the Altroz. Still, it was able to win, although the margin was not huge. Finally, there was only the driver in both cars in the final round. All in all, the performance of the turbo petrol variant of the Altroz is really impressive. The naturally aspirated mill of the Baleno stands no chance.
