Altroz borrows its 1.5 Litre four-cylinder diesel engine from Nexon. The engine produces 90 BHP and 200 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. i20 gets a 1.4 Litre four-cylinder CRDi diesel engine, capable of producing 90 BHP and 224 Nm of peak torque. While most of its rival offer a 5-speed MT with the diesel engine, i20 offers a 6-speed MT.
