In the latest incident, a Tata Altroz iCNG was involved in a crash with a Toyota Innova and Hyundai Venue. Indian roads are, unfortunately, full of terrible incidents, mostly due to the carelessness of drivers. That is what makes driving on our roads so difficult and challenging. Tata Altroz is a 5-star safety-rated vehicle. It has performed decently in many crashes in real life. On the other hand, accidents of Toyota Innova and Hyundai Venue are relatively less frequent. For now, let us take a look at the details of this current incident.
Tata Altroz, Toyota Innova and Hyundai Venue Accident
The details of this crash stem from Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. This channel features regular content around road safety and the performance of cars in crashes. As per the information in the video, the driver of the Venue braked suddenly. Unfortunately, the driver of the Altroz was not able to react quickly enough. As a result, the Altroz collided with the rear section of the Venue. Similarly, the Innova driver also ended up hitting the Altroz from behind. It was a domino effect. Interestingly, the Venue driver fled the scene along with the vehicle.
Taking a look at the consequences, the front section of the Altroz suffered moderate damage on the bonnet, bumper, fender and headlamp. But there was no serious impact anywhere else. Similarly, the tail section, which was hit by the Innova, experienced some dents. Thankfully, the CNG tanks didn’t get damaged. Otherwise, things could’ve gone worse. On the other hand, the Toyota Innova also suffered almost equivalent damage. In any case, no one was injured in this accident.
Our View
Road accidents are, unfortunately, very common on our roads. Most of these occur when people refuse to follow traffic regulations. This also looks like one such case. It is always necessary to maintain enough distance to the car in front. However, it is possible that the drivers of Altroz and Innova were not following that rule. That is why when the Venue driver suddenly braked, the others didn’t have enough time to halt the car. I urge my readers to follow traffic regulations at all costs. Let us pledge to be responsible road users.
