Tata Altroz is all set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. Ahead of the unveiling, Tata has revealed its front, side and back profiles.
A couple of days back, Tata revealed the name of its upcoming hatchback. Tata Altroz in production version will be unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, which is scheduled to happen on 3rd March.
On the social media platforms, Tata Motors is revealing the front, back and side profiles of the upcoming hatchback. Based on our first impressions, it borrows many styling cues from Tata Tiago, Nexon and Harrier as well.
Altroz is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2019. Its testing in India has already begun, as it was last spotted in its near production version.

From the front, Tata Altroz gets a scaled down version of Tata’s Humanity Grille, which recently came on the Harrier. We expect it to carry large headlamps, and angular front and rear bumpers.
From the side, it gets an upswept window design, rear door handles on the C-Pillar and a raked roofline. Seems like the rear window will offer a shorter viewing capability.
At the rear portion, Altroz gets a steep roofline, sculpted boot and large tail lights. Based on the spy shots, we can say it gets the biggest set of alloy wheels as compared in its segment.

The engine details stand unknown, but we expect Tata Altroz to derive its engines from Nexon. It will use the 1.2 Litre Turbo petrol engine, that delivers 110 BHP and 170 Nm of peak torque. Reports suggest that the base variants might use the engine from Tiago. It uses a 1.2 litre petrol engine, capable of delivering 85 BHP.
With the new emission norms kicking in and diesel car prices rising, it might not get a diesel mill. However, if it gets one, it will be taken from Nexon too. The C-SUV uses a 1.5 Litre Turbo diesel unit, which produces 110 BHP and 260 Nm of peak torque.
For transmission, we expect a 5-speed manual gearbox with the petrol and a 6-speed gearbox with the diesel units. Automatic gearbox might be launched later with the BS-6 engines.
