Tata Altroz vs Truck
The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. This incident took place in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The shown Altroz was waiting at the traffic light when a truck suddenly hit it from behind. Reportedly, the truck driver was a minor who had lost control of the vehicle. Apparently, the impact was quite serious but the damages sustained by the hatchback are not that severe. The bumper, taillamps, rear windshield, boot lid are affected by the impact but there is luckily no complete deformation of these body parts. This is a testament to the build quality of the Altroz. The owner, who was driving the vehicle, was completely unhurt and even shared a selfie on social media to show his happiness with the vehicle.

The powertrain options for the Tata Altroz include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 86 PS and 113 Nm, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine making 110 PS and 140 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 90 PS and 200 Nm of peak power and peak torque respectively. There are options of a 5-speed manual gearbox or a newly launched DCT automatic depending on the variant. The prices of the Tata Altroz range from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.69 lakh, ex-showroom. The direct rivals include the likes of all-new Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 and VW Polo.
