Latest spy pics of Tata 45X hatchback shows that it gets a Nexon-inspired cabin. The hatchback is scheduled to launch in India in 2019.
Tata 45X will get a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will sport an all-black interior theme with some silver accents.
It gets a flat-bottomed steering wheels with audio and telephony controls. In the centre console, there are AC vents and a strip which houses the Auto-AC controls. Other things include an analogue instrument cluster and an engine-start-stop button.
The 45X hatchback is going to compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz. We expect the prices to fall in the range of INR 5 lakh to INR 9 lakh.
From the recent spy images, it has become apparent that the Tata Motor’s competitor for the premium hatchback segment is going to offer several features and creature comforts
The first thing to catch your eye is the floating touch-screen infotainment system. Even the Nexon features one, but the one in Tata 45X Interior images is bigger. It might be an 8-inch touchscreen against Nexon’s 6.5-inch one. It also gets a new instrument cluster. The cabin looks similar as described in Tata’s Impact Design 2.0 Philosophy.

Rest of the knobs and the air-con vents remain the same as Nexon. While Nexon gets a three-tone interior shade, the Tata 45X interior images suggest that it will get an all-black theme. Looks like Tata is going to make it a sporty-premium hatchback. The spy images could reveal only these details, but more will come as the testing increases.
Like the Nexon, Tata 45X will get a 1.2 Litre Revotron Petrol and 1.5 Litre Revotorq Diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 108 BHP of power and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel variant produces 108 BHP of power and 260 Nm of torque. For transmission duties, it might get a 6-speed Manual Transmission along with a 6-speed Automatic unit.

Most likely, it will have the same feature list as of the Nexon, with little changes. For lighting, it will get projector headlamps along with LED DRLs and LED tail lights. For entertainment, its touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, Smart Key, Push Button Start, Wearable Key, Auto Climate Control and more can be expected.
The safety features include it will get Dual Airbags with ABS and EBD as standard fitments, Reverse Parking Sensors with a camera, ISOFIX and height adjustable seatbelts. These features are quite enough for giving stiff competition in this segment.

Lastly, we expect the price to be between Rs 5 Lakhs to Rs 9 Lakhs (ex-showroom). At this price, Tata 45X might give a good competition. The launch date is not official yet, but reports suggest that it will launch in the second half of 2019.
