Swaayatt Robots Driverless Technology
This post comes from Indianstartupnews on Instagram. It showcases the demo Bolero navigating its way through the typically busy Indian streets in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The vehicle is steering and manoeuvring itself using the technology. The road is throwing up challenging situations to replicate real-life scenarios. Hence, there are people who are driving slightly recklessly, the roads are narrow, there are potholes in the road, the pedestrians are running around and there are animals on the roads. Interestingly, the vehicle is able to drive confidently through all this. There is a video which records the entire journey.
In a recent interview with News18, Sanjeev Sharma said, “What we are demonstrating is a tech ready to navigate the traffic of India with utmost accuracy. We are already a competitor of Tesla. Give us some more funding and resources and we can literally solve the automation problem by the end of the year.” This is a clear indication of how far the Indian startup has come. It is evident that the Indian traffic conditions are unlike anything else in the world. Hence, an indigenous solution is needed in this direction.
