Suzuki Wagon R Stingray J Style goes on sale in Japan for 1,517,400 Yen
Japanese auto maker Suzuki recently launched a special variant of the Wagon R Stingray in the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). The new Suzuki Wagon R Stingray J Style has gone on sale for 1,517,400 Yen for the front-wheel drive version and 1,635,120 Yen for the all-wheel drive (4WD) variant. The new Suzuki Wagon R J Style special edition carries several new bits, both inside and outside, to add a touch of exclusivity to the popular tallboy. The new Wagon R Stingray is a market specific model and sadly for Maruti fanatics, isn’t coming to our country anytime soon. Styling
As we said earlier, the new Suzuki Wagon R J Style comes with several new styling bits, both in and out, and you must have guessed by now, the new model is all about these styling enhancements. On the outside, the latest special variant of the high selling tallboy comes with new 15-inch alloy rims, LED lamps on the front bumper, turn indicators for the Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs), body decals, and golden finish for the door handles. Even the new ORVMs come draped in a shade of gold. The new model has gone on sale in four colours – Crystal White Pearl, Mysterious Violet Pearl, Pheonix Red Pearl and Bluish Black Pearl.
Inside the cabin, the car gets a black upholstery, which is complemented by embroidery done using a golden thread. The J Style also gets some golden accents for the steering wheel, instrument binnacle, dashboard and door trim. On the features front, the car benefits from addition of heated seats.
Specifications
Under the hood, the new Stingray J Style gets the carmaker’s widely used 660 cc, three-pot petrol motor. This engine comes mated with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The car is available in both Front Wheel Drive (FWD) and all wheel drive (AWD) configurations.
