Suzuki and Honda are the market leaders in gearless scooter and offer some extremely successful products such as Suzuki Access and Honda Activa. While the Honda is the oldest competitor and has record sales in hand, the Access falls no behind its competitor with ongoing success has surpassed that of the Activa. Yamaha, another auto major has already announced the launch of Yamaha gearless scooter in India planned for 2012 launch.
Rumors flew in 2010 than Suzuki was planning to introduce a new gearless scooter alike Access but since then the rumors never turned into reality. Lately as being reported, Suzuki has become keen on launching a new scooter called as Suzuki Skydrive but no time has set as of now.
The Skydrive is good looking, aerodynamic and quite sleek in appearance and very much distinguishable from any other such scooter on the road. Bigger wheels, sporty looks, dynamic body graphics, beautiful headlamps are some of the noticeable things about this scooter. The model available in other markets also features front disc brakes which I doubt would be present on the Indian model.
