Suzuki Motorcycles India has managed to record positive sales in their July report primarily because of a slew of new launches for both their motorcycles and scooters.
At a time when the entire automobile industry has been recording declining sales month after month, Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited has recorded positive growth in their sales report for the month of July. Just in the domestic market alone, Suzuki Motorcycles has managed to record 17% growth in sales.
Cumulative sales for Suzuki Motorcycle India for July 2019 were 69,236 units of motorcycles as compared to 58,805 units in July 2018, thus recording a growth of 18%. In the domestic market alone, Suzuki Motorcycles India sold 62,366 units in July 2019 as compared to 53,321 units sold in July 2018, here again registering a growth of 17%. In the first quarter of the current financial year (April – June, 2019), Suzuki Motorcycle India sold 2,74,309 units of motorcycles.
Devashish Handa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited said,”July was an exciting month at Suzuki Motorcycle India as we launched new products and variants in both motorcycle and scooter category, further strengthening our product offerings for Indian consumers. Suzuki Motorcycle India is overwhelmed to receive the huge response and demand for its products that further translates into higher sales growth. We are steering ahead with full throttle to add more customers to the Suzuki family.”

There had an entire slew of new launches which has ultimately resulted in positive sales figure. To start off, Suzuki launched the all-new Gixxer 155 with three new color options. Suzuki also launched the new Gixxer SF250 in the previous month which marked Suzuki’s return to the 250 segment along with the new GIxxer SF 150. These two motorcycles contributed largely to the sales of July.

As for its scooters, Suzuki Motorcycles India introduced the Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition with a new colour option along with the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in a new matte black shade. The Suzuki Access 125 is the highest selling 125cc scooter in India. With such a wide number of launches, Suzuki Motorcycles India might just continue with the same pace for August as well because they reported positive sales earlier in June as well.
