For the month of June 2019, Suzuki Motorcycle India reports a Y-o-Y sales growth of 29%. In the same month, the Gixxer SF 250 and updated SF 155 were out.
Suzuki India has registered a Y-0-Y growth of 29% including the domestic and international market sales. For the month of June, 67,491 units were sold compared to 57,023 units in June 2018.
The domestic sales of Suzuki have increased by 22%, from 46717 units in June 2018 to 57,023 units in June 2019. The cumulative sales for the same stand at 2.05 Lakhs for the first quarter, from April to June 2019. The cumulative first quarter of 2018 sales were 1.70 Lakh units, thus increasing by 21%.
Commenting on SMIPL’s growth performance, Mr Devashish Handa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Despite a challenging time for the automobile industry, Suzuki Motorcycle India has registered a strong sales performance in the first quarter by clocking double-digit growth. We acknowledge it with deep gratitude, the confidence that the Indian two-wheeler buyer has reposed in us. A large share of this creditable performance also goes to our dealer network, which has been extending ‘best in class’ service to our esteemed customers.”

In June, Suzuki India launched the new Gixxer SF 250 and the updated Gixxer SF 155. Priced at Rs 1.70 Lakhs (ex-showroom), the quarter-litre Gixxer is one of the most affordable sportsbike in its segment.
The SF motorcycles now adapt an aggressive design, which makes them look track ready. Both get new clip-on handlebars, a sharp headlamp cowl with LED headlamps, a chiseled fuel tank and the ability to crouch or stay relaxed while riding.
Also, Suzuki has Access 125cc, which is amongst the top-selling scooters of India. It is actually the best selling 125cc scooter, better than that of Honda Activa 125. Its another 125cc scooter, Burgman Street also generates decent sales, given its competition.

In the coming months, the result of the new Gixxer SF 250 and SF 155 will be seen. In this festive season, the manufacturer is also launching the updated Gixxer 155 and the new Gixxer 250.
