In this latest post, a Suzuki Jimny is seen converted into a 1966 Ford Bronco. Both these names have been quite iconic among off-roading enthusiasts across the globe for decades. On one hand, the Jimny traces back its legacy to the World War 2 era. It was designed to carry soldiers and ammunition across treacherous terrains. That is why it has always been a lightweight off-roading SUV. On the other hand, the Ford Bronco was the American automaker’s attempt to offer a more rugged off-roading SUV to the customers. Let us take a look at the details of this latest conversion.

Suzuki Jimny Converted into 1966 Ford Bronco
This post comes from laurabtlrr on Instagram. It captures the hostess relaying information about this unique SUV. While everything on the surface seems like the Bronco from the 1960s, the underpinnings are that of the Jimny. The natural silhouette and stance of the latter lend itself well to be converted into the former. Hence, this Jimny/Bronco has round headlamps, a broad grille with Bronco written in red colour, a white rugged bumper typically used for off-roading scenarios and exposed rivets on it. I like this raw look, which is so reminiscent of the 1960s.

In addition to that, I also appreciate the attention to detail. This includes a hood scoop for that upright bonnet. The wheels are also retro with white paint. Note that the tyres are broad, with off-roading treads. Likewise, the ORVMs are tall, which is something very common on the SUVs of the eras gone by. However, the coolest bit for me has to be the side step with 1966 engraved on it. Not only does it enhance the ingress and egress characteristics, but it also lends a classic car look. To complete the overall appearance, this unique vehicle has a convertible top. All in all, this is definitely something you won’t see all that often.

Now, I absolutely love to witness the ingenuity of professional aftermarket car modification houses. It’s a shame most car modifications are illegal in India. Looking at the registration plate of this model, however, it looks like this is somewhere abroad. Still, the details on this Bronco are simply impressive. The car shop has taken care of a lot of design themes to ensure that the off-roading SUV embodies the silhouette of the retro Bronco. The final product is extremely desirable.
