Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has been regular with updated the Gixxer 155 and Gixxer SF. Only yesterday we told you about the new dual-tone red-black paint job for the alloy wheels of the Gixxer 155. And now, the manufacturer has finally come up with the much awaited ABS variant of the Gixxer SF. The new Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS is based on the FI variant and has gone on sale for an ex-showroom price of Rs 95,499 only. The ABS option is available both on the FI and non-FI versions. The introduction of ABS increases the prices by Rs 6,200 only. It’s very likely that tTis bike will also get a new Tri-Colour paint option in near future.

Other than the introduction of ABS, there isn’t any change in the specifications of the bike. The motorcycle continues to come with a 154.9cc engine that belts out a max. power of 14.8 PS and a peak torque of 14 Nm. The Gixxer SF ABS variant is available with both fuel-injected and carbureted engine. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

As can be seen in the exclusive images we have here, the new Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS doesn’t get any design changes. Sure, the company will soon launch the new Tri-Colour paint option, but apart from the new colour scheme and an ABS sticker on the front-mudguard, there’s really nothing special about the way the ABS variant looks. Prices were recently announced and the new bike commands a premium of Rs 6,200 over the non-ABS model.

Quite obviously, the introduction of ABS has translated into an increase in price. The non-ABS model has an ex-showroom price of around Rs 89,219. The FI model of the Suzuki Gixxer SF costs Rs 93,032. Prices of the ABS model start at Rs 95,499. The FI model with ABS costs Rs 99,312. It’s worth a mention here that the Gixxer SF becomes the first motorcycle in its segment to offer ABS.

Thanks to the fuel injection, this bike has a higher mileage than the carburetor-equipped Suzuki Gixxer. The Gixxer SF ABS can deliver a peak mileage of 60 KMPL, while it can still deliver around 50 KMPL in the city conditions.

Other than the introduction of ABS, there’s absolutely no change in the specifications of this motorcycle. Powering the Gixxer SF ABS is the same 154.9 cc single-cylinder engine that powers the non-ABS model. This engine has a maximum power output of 14.8 PS and a peak torque of 14 Nm. The motor comes along with a 5-speed manual transmission. Thanks to the presence of a fuel injection system, there’s no kick start mechanism.
