The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 has been priced very well and its sales figures are better than those of the Yamaha FZ25 and Fazer, Honda CBR250R, KTM Duke 250, etc
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 made its world debut in India in May and the manufacturer already started dispatching the bike in the same month. As the wholesale numbers have turned out, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is already in much demand and the sales will reflect that soon.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 May wholesale numbers have now been revealed and as per SIAM data, at a total of 1,526 units, which were dispatched in the first month of the bike’s launch. This number is quite high when compared to its immediate rivals, the FZ25, Fazer and Honda CBR 250R.
As for the units of the other motorcycles, collective sales of Yamaha FZ25 and Fazer in May were 910 units whereas Honda CBR 250R sold 54 units. In fact, the Gixxer SF 250 has even outsold bikes such as Royal Enfield Himalayan that sold 1192 units and KTM 250 Duke that sold 681 units.
What Suzuki has done extremely welll is that they have given the Gixxer SF 250 a very competite pricing. The Gixxer SF is still not the best selling motorcycle in the segment. Other models within the same price range who have received better sales in the month of May are the : Royal Enfield Classic 350, KTM 200 Duke (2,246 units) and Bajaj Dominar (1,888 units).
Gixxer SF 250 bookings have already commenced from June and Suzuki is quite positive that sales will go up from that point. Suzuki will also be launching the naked version of the Gixxer SF 250 which will further boost the sales for Suzuki. It has already been spotted testing several times and it is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
Suzuki also updated the previous Gixxer SF 150 along with the launch of the new Gixxer SF 250. And with the update and a new bike in the range, the Suzuki Gixxer SF range including the 150 and the 250 have seen an increment from 410 units in April to 3391 units in May.

The Gixxer 150 comes with a 154.9 cc engine whereas Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249 cc, oil cooled engine that generates max power of 26.5 PS @ 9000 rpm and max torque of 22.6 Nm @ 7500 rpm. In terms of safety, Gixxer SF 250 is equipped with disc brakes at both ends, integrated with dual-channel ABS.
