Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the Gixxer SF 250 Moto GP Edition in India. The same livery was recently bought on the Gixxer SF 155 as well.
Suzuki brings the limited Moto GP Edition livery on the Gixxer SF 250 and is now priced at Rs 1.71 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The livery is inspired by Suzuki’s legendary and popular motorcycles, the GSX-R and Hayabusa.
The Gixxer SF 250 Moto GP Edition gets the Suzuki racing blue colour from the brand’s Moto GP machines. You get the bold Suzuki decal over the side fender above the ECSTAR decal on the side. The same livery came just a week ago on the Gixxer SF 155.
The Moto GP Edition is priced nearly Rs 1,500 more than the regular SF 250. On the regular variant, you get two colour options – Matte Black and Matte Silver. Here is our review of the bike from the Buddh International Racetrack.

The SF 250 uses a 249cc oil-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that produces 26.5 BHP at 9000 RPM and 22.62 Nm of peak torque at 7500 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suzuki claims that the oil-cooling system will help in low fuel consumption and ease of riding.
For suspension, it gets telescopic forks at the front and a swingarm with mono-shock at the back. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both the ends with a dual-channel ABS as standard fitment.
Features onboard include LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, a fully digital speedometer which shows the riding range, trip meter and more information, split seats, clip-on handlebars, rear tire hugger and split grab rails.

The Gixxer SF 250 finds competition from the Yamaha Fazer25 and KTM RC200. The Fazer is priced much lesser than the Gixxer, but the RC200 comes within the same price range.
Also, Suzuki is going to launch the 250cc version of the Naked Gixxer in a few months. It will use the same engine and same components but might get a slightly revised engine tuning.
