Suzuki has launched BS6 compliant Gixxer and Gixxer SF. Both of them just get the BS6 upgrade and nothing else with a price hike of Rs 12000.
Suzuki is just about ready to have a complete BS6 lineup. It has now launched the BS6 compliant Suzuki Gixxer 155 and Gixxer SF 155. Both of them were unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 last month. Changes have only been made to the engine and nothing else.
While the BS6 Suzuki Gixxer is costlier by Rs 11,000 the SF is pricier by Rs 12,000. The naked bike comes in a single variant, however, with the SF, you also have the Moto GP version as an option. Here are the detailed prices:
Gixxer | Rs 1,11,871 |
Gixxer SF | 1,21,871 |

BS6 Gixxer and SF continue with the same 155cc air-cooled fuel-injected engine. The motor now produces 13.6 PS and 13.8 Nm of peak torque. In comparison, the BS4 version produced 14.1 PS and 14 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The mileage of the motorcycle has increased by 10-15%. Dealership sources have confirmed that the deliveries for the BS6 Gixxer have already begun. Most of the dealerships started receiving the units a week back itself.
Gixxer 155 comes in a single tone and two dual-tone colour options. Options include Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black. Gixxer SF misses out on the Blue/Black option but gets the rest two of them. The Moto GP variant gets its standard Blue colour with the Suzuki racing livery over the body.
For suspension, Gixxer and Gixxer SF use telescopic forks at the front with a monoshock at the back. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both the ends with a single-channel ABS as standard. Features onboard include LED headlamps and tail lamps, fully digital instrument console, split seat setup, clip-on handlebar for the SF and dual-tip exhaust port.
