Engine design images of the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 have surfaced online. As per our expectations, the launch will happen by second half of 2019.
Suzuki India is working on a more powerful Gixxer. Supporting the reports, some design patents of the engine of Suzuki Gixxer 250 have been leaked. A Japanese Motorcycle blog has leaked the images.
Based on the photos, Suzuki Gixxer 250 will get a 250cc single-cylinder that gets a four-valve SOHC system with oil-cooling. It also gets fuel injection and fuel-combustion system for a better fuel economy. It gets a vertically placed oil-cooler.

The power figures of the engine stay unknown at this time. As per our expectations, the power figures will be around 25 BHP and 24 Nm of peak torque. The transmission will be handled by a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
The 250cc engine will be tuned for a strong mid-range and overall better riding performance. Improved dynamics and a riding experience is also expected.
As per our earlier reports, pre-production units of Suzuki Gixxer 250 will be showcased to Dealers in January 2019. The launch is expected around April-June period. The dates are based on speculation as there is no official confirmation from Suzuki India.

Suzuki Gixxer 250 will take design cues from the Hajoue DR300, which is the Suzuki GSX-S300 for the Chinese markets. Some styling bits will also flow in from the bigger GSX-S750.
Summarizing, the Gixxer 250 will don a sporty-street naked appearance, somewhat better than the 150cc Gixxer. Also, the Gixxer 250 might get the ‘SF’ variant alongside. Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF will sport styling bits from GSX-250 from the global markets.
In the recent trends, the demand for entry-level premium motorcycles is increasing. Many automotive brands are exploring the 200-300cc motorcycle segment. Brands include TVS, Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto, Honda and Suzuki.

Suzuki Gixxer 250 will carry a price tag of around Rs 1.3 Lakhs. At this price range, it will lock horns with Yamaha FZ25, KTM Duke 125 and upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 250.
