A new Suzuki cafe racer seems to be under planning, as patent sketches have been leaked out. The bike looks like a modern cafe racer.
Seems like every other two-wheeler brand is coming up with the idea of a modern cafe racer. The latest one to board the train is Suzuki Motorcycles. Sketches of a new Suzuki cafe racer have been leaked online.
The design patent showcases the engine, frame, sub-frame and the swingarm. The design of the alloy wheels, the seat and the riding position can also be seen from the patents.
It could possibly be a modern cafe racer, just like the Continental GT 650 or Triumph Thruxton. We expect the new Suzuki cafe racer to be a lot different from the neo cafe racers or cafe-racer inspired roadsters.

Based on the sketches, we can say that the cafe racer will get a single-cylinder engine. The exhaust muffler is seen on the underbelly. A single-cylinder engine indicates that it could debut as an entry-level premium motorcycle.
It gets a considerably long fuel tank paired with a single small seat. Seems like the rider will be offered a fully dedicated riding position. The rear set foot pegs confirm our doubts regarding an aggressive riding position.
The handlebars are not shown in this patent. However, being a cafe racer, we expect it to come with low-end clip-on handlebars with rear view mirrors at the end of the bar.

The frame onboard looks like an open trellis frame. It seems to be equipped with an unusual triangular swingarm. This type of swingarm is not seen on any other Suzuki motorcycles.
At the 2017 Indonesia International Motor Show, Suzuki showcased the GSX-R150 cafe racer. On seeing the showcased bike carefully, some similarities to the design patents can be seen.
GSX-R150 looks like a modern day cafe racer. Possibly, the upcoming Suzuki cafe racer could take some inspirations from the concept. The bodywork and design are somewhat similar.
