Last evening, Mahindra finally pulled the covers off the highly anticipated Mahindra XUV700. Along with the unveiling, the carmaker also announced prices of select variants. The new mid-size SUV from Mahindra already looks like a winner but before we go ahead with predicting sales success for the new offering, we will focus on another winner who will soon get a special Mahindra XUV700 Gold Edition. Yes, we’re talking about Neeraj Chopra, the sportsman from India who has bagged a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in the track and field category. While we’re yet to get to have a look at what this one-off version of the XUV700 would look like, here’s a speculative rendering that could give us a good idea.

Created by SRK Designs on Youtube, this special edition of the recently launched SUV features several add-ons that make it feel, well, special. Up front, the radical-looking headlamps now flank a grille that has been adorned with gold-plated trim. Moving ahead, you’ll find the tri-colour on the hood. To complement the new trim up front, even the alloy wheels have been finished in golden. Moreover, the ORVMs and the belt-line garnish have also been given the gold treatment along with a similar touch on the lower bumper garnish. Finally, the same colour finds its way onto the roof rails. Compared to the stock model, the special Mahindra XUV700 Gold Edition definitely looks a tad more flashy and definitely something that is specially created for the athelete.
