To capitalize on the festive season spurt, Hero has launched a special edition of the Glamour 125 called the Blaze edition. It essentially comes with a new funky color scheme and a few additional features as well.
In the run up to the festive season, Hero MotoCorp has launched a special edition model of the Glamour commuter motorcycle. The new Hero Glamour Blaze Edition is based on the Glamour 125 and has been launched in the country for a price of Rs 72,200, ex-showroom, Delhi. This special edition Glamour essentially comes with a funky new paint scheme and a few extra features as well, all for a little premium in price over the base-spec Glamour. Let us tell you about it in a little more detail.
The Hero Glamour Blaze Edition comes painted in a new color scheme of Matte Vernier Grey along with Lime Yellow graphics. The funky color palette sure adds a touch of freshness to the motorcycle. Along with the new paint scheme, the motorcycle also gets a handlebar mounted USB charger which comes fitted from the factory along with a rubber cover to protect it from the elements. You will however need an additional handle-bar phone mount to charge your phone. It additionally also gets a side stand indicator.
There are no mechanical changes to the motorcycle however. The Glamour Blaze Edition continues to be powered by the same 125 cc, single-cylinder which comes with Hero’s XSens Programmed Fuel Injection technology. The engine produces 10.73 bhp at 7,500 rpm while peak torque is 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox with one-down and four-up gearshift pattern. The same engine and chassis is also used for the Hero Passion Pro, only the engine bored out to 125cc in the Glamour.

Among other features, the Glamour also comes equipped with Hero’s Auto Sail technology which essentially allows the rider to crawl in traffic without the need to downshift the gears. It also gets Hero’s i3S idle start-stop system which automatically cuts the engine when the bike is stationary for a certain period of time and re-starts it with just a pull at the clutch lever. This goes a long way in ensuring better fuel economy.

Comparing the price of the Blaze edition with the rest of the Glamour range, this special edition model sits between the drum-brake variant and the disc-brake variant. The standard Glamour drum brake variant is priced at Rs 71,000 while the disc-brake variant is priced at Rs 74,500. The Glamour Blaze already comes equipped with disc brakes at the front with Hero’s integrated braking technology. The Hero Glamour rivals the likes of the Honda SP 125 and the Bajaj Pulsar 125.
