It is clear from the beginning of the video that snow claws are the least effective in snow and they break quite easily. They are not made up of durable or rugged material. Hence, it is not recommended at all. The real competition is between the snow chains and snow socks. The vlogger shows how to wrap the snow socks around the tyres. It is a fairly straightforward process. Once the entire tyre is wrapped in the socks, you are good to drive. On the other hand, wrapping the tyres with snow chains requires much more effort. Still, there are detailed instructions to help you out.

Hill Climb and Brake Test
Once both these materials are covering the tyres, the vlogger drives the car in 2WD and AWD up the slope on thick snow. Surprisingly, he is able to get great traction with the snow socks. The SUV climbs the slope without any fuss. The vlogger is evidently impressed by this. Then he drives the SUV using the snow chains. The SUV is able to cover a slightly longer distance in comparison to the snow socks. However, the result of the braking test was quite astonishing. The attempt with the snow socks showcases a much better stopping distance compared to snow chains. This is because the surface area in contact with the surface while braking is more in the case of snow socks. Hence, he recommends going for snow socks.

I would like to mention here that you must stay away from attempting such stunts. This is particularly true if you have no prior experience of driving in thick snow. This vlogger clearly lives in a country where snow is common and heavy. Hence, he is able to navigate his way around the track. Still, even he doesn’t drive the SUV for a long distance.
