Three Skoda cars including Superb and Fabia and the owner is facing the exact same issue in all. Waterlogging inside the boot.
Here’s another issue about a Skoda car that we recently came to know through online posts. Owner of three Skoda cars, including 2 Superb and a Fabia has shared his problem that he has faced every monsoon. Despite several attempts to get it fixed from authorized showrooms, he does not get a fixed solution.
Owner of the Skoda Superb is from Mumbai, where monsoon and waterlogging is a irksome affair. He says that every year he has to go through this problem where his boot and spare tyre space is filled with water. This will damage the quality of tyre, corrode the metal and also dampen the boot of the car.

He says that he has taken his cars to authorized service centres a lot of times. The workshop has filled the open spaces with a sealant to stop the drainage, however, that goes in vain. The owner has shared that he has done this sealant filling a couple of times and even has refitted the parts a couple of times.
One of the fitting reasons for this is the use of low quality plastic plugs for the doors and boot. While you may yourself resolve this issue, it is better to get it outsourced. Many other Skoda owners have also agreed that they have faced this issue sometime but have resorted to getting it fixed from the local garages.
Since, the Skoda Superb is a costly car, its services and repairs will be equally costly. Usually, in such cases, the service center charges a decent amount which would be a lot more than aftermarket components. If the warranty of your car is void, you can still go for aftermarket plastic plugs. While we can surely say that the quality of components used in Skoda cars are decent enough, but this is a problem that’s well heard of.
