Skoda India has finally launched the much expected low cost model of Skoda Superb in India called the Skoda Superb Ambition which has been launched at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs. 18 Lakhs for the 1.8 Litre Petrol Engine Variant and Rs. 22.5 Lakhs for the diesel engine variant. The Superb Ambition variant cuts down of certain features to make the pricing more competitive and make it a more affordable option in the segment. Some of the features which Skoda Superb Ambition misses out on include – electric sunroof, touch screen central console system, Bluetooth Connectivity, b-Xenon Headlamps, cruise control system etc. to name a few. However the Skoda Superb Ambition does not cut down on major safety features like the ABS and EBD, Anti-Slip regulation, Traction control system, airbags etc. It also comes with the same engine and powertrain as the top end Elegance trim of Skoda Superb.

Skoda Superb Ambition comes in both petrol and diesel engine options, the TSI 1.8 Litre petrol which churns out 160 PS of power and 250 Nm or torque and an 2 Litre diesel engine with 140 PS of peak power and 320 Nm of torque. The petrol version comes with a 6 speed manual transmission and a 7 speed DSG automatic transmission option while the diesel variant comes only with a 6 speed DSG automatic with an impressive fuel economy rating of 17.2 KMPL.
