Skoda’s sales figure has increase by a strong 29% in November 2010 compared to the same month last year. Skoda has sold 1841 units of cars this year in the month of November. Below is the official press release from Skoda :
Mumbai- 1st December, 2010: SkodaAuto India, a fully owned subsidiary of SkodaAuto a.s., Czech Republic and one of the most promising automobile companies in India today announced a sales growth of 29% for the month of November 2010. SkodaAuto India’s total sales for November 2010 stood at an impressive 1841 units as against 1425 units in November 2009. Skoda has registered impressive growth in this year riding on the success of the two new launches; the new Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Director & Board Member, Sales and Marketing, SkodaAuto India said “I am extremely delighted with SkodaAuto’s continuing growth as we gear up for the exciting period ahead. We are pleased with the overwhelming response we have received with the introduction of our two new cars in the Skoda lineage in India; the New Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti. The bookings of both these cars have been extremely encouraging. We are confident that these new additions by SkodaAuto will create more zeal and excitement for the customers”.

SkodaAuto achieved another milestone with the roll out of the 1,00,001st car from its plant at Aurangabad. The fact that the 1,00,001st car was a Yeti, one of Skoda’s recent launches, makes it an even more special event. The occasion was graced by H E Mr Miloslav Stasek, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in India, and Mr Stackmann,- the Board Member for Sales and Marketing at SkodaAuto a.s. and Chairman of SkodaAuto India.
