After the recent discontinuation of the Skoda Octavia, driving enthusiasts might well be pinning their hopes on the Slavia to offer more imposing driving characteristics and this concept certainly represents that. The vRS moniker has gained significant fame, primarily because of the Octavia RS, which arrives every year as completely built units (CBUs) and promptly sells out. The RS variant represents the performance-focused version of the standard sedan. Geared towards driving enthusiasts, the Octavia RS holds great appeal, which explains its rapid sales despite being considerably expensive. The car’s allure to those seeking an exhilarating driving experience contributes to its exceptional demand and popularity in the Indian market.

Skoda Slavia Concept Based on Octavia
This enticing iteration has been created by zephyr_designz Instagram. It represents a 3D render of the Slavia which immediately reminds us of the Octavia. The designer has gone into a lot of depth while designing this unique illustration. This includes things like a more aggressive look by adding a custom front bumper with widened front and rear fenders, a custom rear bumper, a diffuser and an active auto retract spoiler sitting on Skoda Vega inspired Wheels wrapped in Toyo CT01 Tyres. The elegant alloys look particularly mesmerising, accentuating the overall presence.

While this might be in the digital realm, the erstwhile Skoda Auto India’s sales head, Zac Hollis said in a statement last year, “I would love to do an RS version of the Slavia.” Although that never came to fruition, we could easily see the existing Slavia as a donor model for an RS version. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine is already a potent unit. If Skoda works on recalibrating it, making the suspension stiffer and offering an entire sporty styling package for the aesthetics, we might have a cheaper and exciting alternative to the Octavia RS on our hands.
