The introduction of this six-year warranty scheme is part of the automaker’s ‘India 2.0’ strategy and is aimed at improving the brand’s perception in India.
Skoda Auto India has announced that it is going to introduce a new scheme titles ‘Shield Plus’ under which customer will be able to avail an extended warranty of up to six-years or 150,000 kms. The scheme is part of the automaker’s ‘India 2.0’ strategy and is aimed at changing the brand’s perception in India when it comes to after sales servive and maintainance costs.

› SKODA Insurance: SKODA Shield Plus gives you an array of benefits, value for money and prompt personal service in the event of a claim. It includes the first year of comprehensive insurance and three subsequent years of the third party coverage.

› SKODA Assist (24 x 7 Road Side Assistance): SKODA Shield Plus offers a 24×7 reliable roadside assistance to customers for the fifth and sixth year. If a ŠKODA vehicle is immobilized for any reason (including mechanical/electrical failure, flat/weak battery, flat tyre, fuel exhaustion, mislaid key, breakdown, and accident) a phone call to ŠKODA Assistance will provide timely assistance nationwide.
› Extended Warranty: SKODA Shield Plus ensures a hassle-free warranty service which now spans for an additional period of the fifth and sixth year or 1,50,000 kilometres (whichever is earlier) from the date of purchase of a ŠKODA vehicle.

SKODA previously introduced India’s first 4-year service care program which consists of a 4-year warranty program and a 4 year (24 x 7) Road Side Assistance which is standard on all ŠKODA vehicles. Additionally, customers have an option to purchase a 4-year service package at an attractive price which ensures a hassle-free ownership experience.
