Skoda Octavia will make its way into Indian markets with a mighty powerful engine and will get various driving modes.
Introduced in Sept 2017, Skoda sold 300 units of newly launched Octavia RS in no time which were allocated to the Indian market. The demand grew so high that an additional 200 units were imported to cater the petrol enthusiasts need.
Now if reports are to be believed, the Octavia could make a return and this time with a more powerful engine. The RS245 will make a mind-boggling power of 245 bhp with increased torque to 370 Nm. The addition of 15 bhp and 20 Nm of torque is fruitful to the car enthusiasts for sure.
It will sport the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The new Octavia RS will be based on the European spec model and this gives an option to have larger 18-inch alloy wheels.

The car will get lowered by 15mm sport stiff suspension for better handling. It will also pack adjustable dampers and various driving modes. It will retain the limited slip differential which allows the outside wheel to spin faster at corners and brakes the inside wheel for a more agile movement.
On the inside, the all-black theme is likely to be retained only to be introduced with a virtual cockpit, which will be new. Furthermore, the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is there along with exclusive sports package for the RS.

Safety features will include full pack of nine-airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD), electronic stability program (ESP), trailer assist, rear traffic alert and park assist.
The new Skoda Octavia RS will come along packing new features, performance and packages as a completely built-in unit (CBU). Hence, the prices will go high as Rs 40 lakh mark. Earlier when the hot sedan was launched, it was priced at Rs 24.62 lakh.
