Skoda has entered the compact SUV segment for the first time in our market with the Kylaq
The new Skoda Kylaq was recently spotted alongside the Kushaq mid-size SUV and the images have been going viral. Kylaq belongs to the compact SUV market space with loads of rivals. However, it is also one of the fastest-growing categories in India. Hence, the Czech marque wants to take a bite of that big pie. On the other hand, Skoda has already been doing great on the sales charts with the Kushaq. For now, let us compare the two from the outside based on real-life visuals.

These images stem from cartoq_dotcom on Instagram. They capture the two SUVs parked side-by-side. In fact, we are able to witness the photos from all angles to have a thorough and accurate idea of how large the two are. At the front, the Kushaq looks marginally broader even though the difference isn’t too much. From the sides, the increased length of the Kushaq also comes into play. However, the tail section appears to be almost similar. All in all, it is really fascinating to see the Kylaq carrying almost similar size as the Kushaq.

Specs and Price Comparison
The Skoda Kylaq borrows powertrain options from the Kushaq as well. This engine pairs with either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission. Skoda claims a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 188 km/h. The prices range from Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh, ex-showroom.
On the other hand, the Kushaq also get the same engine with the same transmission options. This mill can be paired with just the automatic transmission. In essence, buyers can opt for multiple power and gearbox alternatives.
