With so many electronics in cars, it is not uncommon to encounter a few bugs on the way that creates confusion and hysteria.
In a bizarre set of events, a Skoda Kushaq owner was left baffled after the infotainment display showed a digital image of the international VW Polo. The bewildered owner shared his experience on a forum. It must be noted that VW Group is the parent company of Skoda and share a lot of components including platform, powertrains, and perhaps, the infotainment software. As a part of a bug in the current version of the software, this owner reported the malfunctioning where the image of Polo was displayed. In these digital infotainment systems, the image of the actual car is shown.

Infotainment Screen of Skoda Kushaq Shows Image of Polo
The post has been shared by the Kushaq owner at a forum on Team BHP. He posted a screenshot of the infotainment system with the image of Polo. The other information available on the screen seems normal. Other members of the forum mention that this happened to them as well when the image of some other car appeared on the screen. After the software update, this bug was removed and the image of the original car reappeared. In other instances, the entire car disappeared from the screen which only corrected itself after the software update. It looks like this happens more often than one would think.

The Skoda Kushaq comes powered by two powertrain options including a 1.0-litre TSI engine, making 115 hp and 178 Nm and the second, a 1.5-litre EVO engine making 150 hp and 250 Nm. The smaller engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission option and the larger engine comes with a 7-speed DSG (DCT) gearbox. The prices of the VW Taigun range between Rs 11.40 lakh and Rs 18.60 lakh, while the Skoda Kushaq ranges between Rs 11.29 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
