Build quality of a brand new Skoda Kushaq was put to test straight out of the showroom. People have been buying the Kushaq and every day, we get to hear something interesting in that regard. This is yet another example of that. The Czech carmaker is known for its fun-to-drive products and high-quality materials used on the inside and out. Also, it is a brand new car in its Indian portfolio. Being in the heart of the SUV segment, Skoda aims at high volumes with the Kushaq. This instance, however, puts a few question marks on the heavily localized SUV. This post was shared by a Kushaq owner who had just bought the SUV but, unfortunately, hit a TVS Scooty on the way out of the showroom. Here are the details of the whole episode.

Skoda Kushaq Build Quality
The incident was shared on the Skoda Kushaq Owner Club on Facebook. The SUV owner took the delivery of the brand new Kushaq. Unfortunately, however, his/her celebrations didn’t last long as he/she was involved in an accident with a Scooty shortly after that. The owner expresses his disappointment at the incident because of the build quality of the Kushaq. He claims that he must’ve been travelling at around 20-30 kmph when the collision took place. However, the dents and scratches on the red-coloured Kushaq make it look like there was quite a big impact. The headlights are affected by the collision and the fender seems to be broken in half as well.

To add salt to the injury, the repair will take 7-10 days. This is a bit too much considering the fact that Skoda claims to have improved its service network so much. The dents on the face of the Kushaq are quite large but still, it should not take more than 2-3 days at the max. To be away from your brand new car is heartbreaking and disappointing. At the end of his/her post, the owner second-guesses his decision of buying the Skoda Kushaq. This is something that could hurt the image of the SUV and benefit its rivals. Skoda must be a bit careful in dealing with such situations and at least ensure short durations for the repair. The Kushaq rivals the likes of Creta and Seltos which are excessively popular in the Indian market.
