Skoda Kushaq, the latest to take on the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, went on sale a few days back. The deliveries of the new model, however, have started only recently and many customers have finally got their hands on their new rides. That said, it’s important to note here that the first batch of vehicles only comprises a 1.0-litre variant, while the 1.5-litre version will be dispatched later.

Available for sale at carmaker’s 115+ outlets across the country, the Skoda Kushaq has already garnered over 3,000 bookings. The new model has a starting price of Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which puts it bang in the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos territory. The compact SUV is on sale in two engine variants – 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol. In all, there are three trim options to choose from – Active, Ambition and Style. The bigger engine variant is available only in the Style trim, while both the motors can be ordered with either a manual or an automatic transmission.
The Skoda Kushaq is a feature-laden model whose equipment list stands at par with those of the immediate competition. The highlights include a floating-type 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, pre-installed apps, wireless smartphone charger, touch-controlled automatic climate control, Octavia-like two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, ambient lighting, chrome trim for the cabin, chrome door handles, 6-speaker Skoda audio system with sub-woofer, non-slip cup holder, ticket holder on A-pillar, luggage hooks in boot nad a phone box that can hold your smartphone.
