The prices to maintain the base model of the Skoda Kushaq are out and we are really confused. At the first glance, it seems like there has been a mixed up in the maintenance costs package of the Kushaq. Skoda had promised to make the ownership experience of its mid-size SUV much more affordable than the Skoda cars of the past. That has been one major criticism of Skoda products in India since time immemorial. The Czech carmaker plans to change that with attractive maintenance packages on offer. In a bid to achieve that Skoda has achieved over 90% levels of localisation with the Kushaq. The MQB-A0-IN platform has enabled them to do so. But the details of these packages reveal something very interesting. Let us check out the details here.

Is Kushaq Base Model Cheaper To Maintain?
According to the quote by this dealer, the annual maintenance package for the Skoda Kushaq Active variant is Rs 24,999. However, the package for the other variants costs Rs 15,999 annually. This is a bit strange considering the fact that base models have fewer features and manual gearboxes compared to the higher trims which have more features and automatic gearboxes. The latter is understandably more expensive to maintain. But this offer leaves us confused. As the post guesses, is it safe to assume that the quality of components used in various variants different? We can’t say anything for sure but make sure to ask the dealer about this before you buy a Skoda Kushaq.
