In a baffling move, Skoda has decided to remove Auto-Folding ORVMs on Kushaq manufactured in 2022, thereby leaving prospective customers frustrated
The Skoda Kushaq is quite a popular compact SUV. It comes in three trims – Active, Ambition, and Style. The company offers the car features like a sunroof, ventilated front seats, connected car tech, a 10.1-inch touchscreen system, wireless charging, and a 6-speaker sound system with a subwoofer. Safety features on the five-seater include up to six airbags, electronic stability control (as standard), and rear parking sensors. However, you can no longer get the Skoda Kushaq with Auto-Folding ORVMs. A customer shared the new development on a Facebook post. Let’s take a closer look at the problem:

As you can see in the image above, the customer received a waiting period of 2.5 months for a new Skoda Kushaq 1.5 TSI AT 6AB. However, a huge mistake by the company might force them to cancel the delivery. Apparently, Skoda has eliminated the auto-folding mirrors from the car. Apparently, the units manufactured in 2022 will not come with the feature. However, the company did not convey the information to the customer. In fact, Skoda is still advertising the feature on their website/ brochure. In a nutshell, the decision to remove Auto-Folding ORVMs on such an expensive car is quite baffling. The Skoda Kushaq comes with two turbo-petrol engines. The 1-liter three-cylinder unit offers 115PS and 178Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed torque converter. Whereas the 1.5-liter four-cylinder mill produces 150PS and 250Nm. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 7-speed DSG. The Skoda SUV is now priced from Rs 10.79 lakh to Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The compact SUV competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, and the Volkswagen Taigun.
