Recently Skoda unveiled its small car based on the Volkswagen Up platform. The Citigo is expected to make its production version debut in 2012 and will probably be launched in European markets before India. The Citigo is small car which can turn the sales charts of Skoda very steeply upside with an affordable small car in India. In the small car segment, Skoda Fabia is the most affordable car in India from Skoda’s stable, and it is also considered to be in premium hatchback segment in India because of its price bracket. Most of the car sales volume is from the cars in the price bracket of Rs. 2.5 to Rs. 4.5 Lakhs. Citigo measures under 4 meter in length and will be equipped with a fuel efficient 1 litre petrol engine which makes it compete with the most of the popular small cars in India.
