Sidhu Moosewala was shot by gangsters last year when he was travelling in his Mahindra Thar. Now, to get justice for his son, the singer’s father uses the ill-fated SUV around the town to remind everyone that the killers have not yet been punished.
The father of Sidhu Moosewala has been travelling around the city in the very same Mahindra Thar in which his son was shot dead last year. This is his way of reminding the authorities and the government to do their job of punishing the perpetrators. The star rapper from Mansa, Punjab was shot multiple times and the bullet marks on the windshield and body of his Thar are still fresh. Sidhu’s father, Balkaur Singh Sidhu decided not to get the vehicle repaired until justice has been served.

This gesture is his way of reminding the government that Punjab must get rid of these gangs. In fact, he addresses the Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann saying, “I want to ask him if there is no problem, then why 40 gunmen, along with jammers, have been ordered to be deployed with his wife? If they are Aam Aadmis (common people), they should go around like them without security as they claim there is no threat. Even after 10 months, the police have failed to unmask the real killers.”

Talking about the Mahindra Thar, he was quoted saying, “I have kept the Thar (in which Moosewala was killed) in the same condition. I have not replaced the bullet-riddled windshield. I want to tell Mann saab and the Centre government that I will showcase your law and order by roaming the streets in the Thar with the picture of my son’s bullet-riddled body so people can see the reality.”

The problem of gagsters in Punjab is an unfortunate reality that has existed for a long time now. Everyone is aware of it but there is hardly any action taken by anyone toward resolving this issue. That is what Balkaur Singh is fighting against. We can only hope that such gestures will motivate the authorities to bring the criminals to justice soon so that law and order could prevail in the state and the country.
