Siddhu Moosewala’s Mahindra Thar was received by his father recently. The famed Punjabi singer was shot dead in May this year by the members of the local gang. The incident that shook the country is still undergoing a thorough police investigation for which the SUV was parked at the local police station. There are bullet holes in the windshield, doors, seats, etc. Hence, it is an important aspect of the investigation. However, Siddhu’s father, Balkaur Singh wanted to have the SUV to keep him motivated to fight for justice.

Moosewala’s Mahindra Thar Made His Father Emotional
Moosewala had most of his cars bulletproof apart from this Thar. On the fateful day, he took out his Thar and went around the town. Somehow, the gang members knew about this and they followed the late singer around the city. Finally, he was shot with multiple guns in Jawaharke village near Mansa in Punjab. The bullets were shot from all directions and Siddhu was left dead in the driver’s seat. The SUV had been in police custody ever since.

Balkaur Singh had appealed to the authorities to hand him the SUV which he wishes to keep as a remembrance of what his son had gone through. Since it was a deed of a gang, he will use it to serve as a reminder to keep fighting for justice. The police are investigating the case even 7 months after the incident. We can only hope that it gets solved soon and the guilty are punished.

Mahindra Thar
The SUV of the singer was heavily modified and last-gen. However, in the latest version, it comes with 2 engine options, a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, and a 2-litre turbo-petrol. In the current-gen model, the oil burner makes 130 PS/320 Nm of peak figures while the petrol makes 150 PS/320 Nm of max figures. Transmission options for both the powertrains are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with a low-range box. You also get a transfer case and a mechanically locking centre differential. The prices range from Rs 13.59 lakh and Rs 16.29 lakh, ex-showroom. The 5-door version of the Thar has been spotted testing multiple times and the launch might well be around the corner.
