As King Khan prepares to celebrate his birthday but his prized Mercedes had to be sent to the service centre just before that.
Just before the birthday of Shahrukh Khan today, his beloved Mercedes S-Class was towed away after breaking down on the road. King Khan has been spotted in the luxury German saloon numerous times. The dead giveaway of his exotic cars is the number ‘5’ on all the registration plates. This S-Class also sports the number 0505. It goes without saying that social media users went into a frenzy after witnessing the towed Mercedes of the Badshah of Bollywood.

Shahrukh Khan’s Mercedes Towed
This post has been shared on Instagram by viralbhayani. The short video clip shows the white S-Class being stuck at the roadside. The exact details of the issue in the luxury sedan are not known. Nevertheless, a flatbed truck appears on the scene and the Merc is seen tied to the back of it. It is being taken to the service centre to resolve the issue. Social media users came up with a pretty hilarious comment on this post. One user said, “Time par EMI bhare.” This roughly translates to “Pay the EMI on time.”

The version that SRK owns is the S350d. It comes powered by a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder diesel mill that churns out a decent 286 hp and 600 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine is mated to an automatic transmission. This large engine propels the opulent sedan from 0-100 km/h in just 6.4 secs and can achieve a top speed of 250 km/h. The starting price of the S-Class in India is a whopping Rs 1.60 Crore, ex-showroom.

There is also the more powerful S450 4MATIC variant on offer. That comes with a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder petrol unit that is coupled with a 48 V mild hybrid system. The engine output is 367 hp and 500 Nm, while the electric system adds 22 hp and 250 Nm of additional power. This trim achieves the 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 5.1 secs and the top speed is similar to the S350d at 250 km/h. What are your thoughts on the matter?
