In a bizarre turn of events, an Audi S5 was involved in an accident with a Maruti WagonR. Incidentally, the Audi was seen in a dilapidated condition from the front. I keep coming across road accidents on a daily basis. Indian roads are so busy that there are undesirable incidents just about everywhere. They contain numerous unforeseeable activities which make it challenging for drivers. For now, let us get into the details of this latest case.
Audi S5 Crashes Against Maruti WagonR
This video comes from naitikcarstatus_yt on Instagram. A man witnessed the crash of an Audi S5 and Maruti WagonR. He records the aftermath of the accident. The red Audi is in a terrible condition from the front. All its airbags have been deployed. But the damage to the bumper, bonnet, radiator grille, headlamp, tyre, fender, etc., is quite severe. Even the driver seat body panels have been affected. It clearly looks like the Audi was at a high speed and the driver lost control.
On the other hand, there is relatively minor damage to the WagonR. The right side of the bumper is broken and the fender has been affected. Due to the impact, the headlamp is broken. Apart from that, the vehicle is in top condition. Talking about injuries, both drivers escaped unscathed. The man who is making this video informs that the driver of the Audi suffered a minor injury to his hand. Thankfully, no one got grievously injured. While it might seem like the WagonR suffered less impact, we don’t know the exact details of how this incident occurred.
Our View
It is high time we start taking traffic regulations seriously. We don’t know the exact reason for this crash. Still, someone must’ve been flouting the traffic regulations. Apart from that, we must make sure to not judge the build quality of cars from such isolated incidents. It is entirely possible that the angle of impact was such that the Audi incurred more damage than the WagonR. This doesn’t mean that it is any less safe than the WagonR or vice versa. We must look at the details of this case in isolation and not draw conclusions. That is true for most things on social media.
