It is valid for the second-from-bottom Plus trim which has an ex-showroom price of Rs 11.61 lakh. After the discount, it gets a retail sticker of an almost unbelievable Rs 8.99 lakh. I must mention here that this price range is something we see for hatchbacks or compact SUVs. I don’t remember the last I saw a mid-size SUV selling for Rs 8.99 lakh. In addition to that, this variant will get the MS Dhoni insignia as this is the special edition model. Let us take a look at the details.
Citroen C3 Aircross with a Huge Discount
We had recently reported the addition of the Dhoni Edition to the Citroen C3 Aircross lineup for our market. This is possible as a result of MS Dhoni being the new brand ambassador of the French carmaker for our market. In the MS Dhoni edition, the buyers get Dhoni decals, colour-coordinated seat covers, cushion pillows, seat belt cushions, illuminated sill plates and a front dashcam. On top of that, there are also special Dhoni goodies in the glove box. On the outside, there are LED DRLs at the front, gloss black elements on the grille, black side claddings and wheel arches, 17-inch steel wheels, rear defogger, LED taillamps connected by a black component, sporty bumper and a rugged skid plate. All in all, the SUV bears an imposing road presence.

The interior of this Plus trim offers almost all major basic amenities in addition to some convenience features. The door panels of the Citroen C3 Aricross get soft touch fabric. Also, there are steering-mounted controls, a digital instrument cluster, distinct AC vents, electrically adjustable ORVMs, height adjustable driver’s seat, front armrest, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plenty of storage space, all four one-touch up/down power windows and more. Note that, if you wish to go for the 5+2 seat configuration, you just need to pay Rs 35,000 more. In that, you will also get roof-mounted AC vents for the second and third-row passengers.

Our View
I feel the discount on the Citroen C3 Aircross is rather colossal. It is bound to attract new customers to the French carmaker. The competition in this mid-size SUV segment of our market is quite intense. There are giants like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. Hence, such benefits and offers could go a long way to persuade new customers to opt for the C3 Aircross over its rivals. We shall have to wait to see how well the customers embrace these offers.
