Royal Enfield is giving itself a complete reboot to take on the increased competition. It started with the company giving its logo, monogram and crest a redesign earlier this month. Now the company has introduced new paint options for most of the bikes in its range. The new look, Royal Enfield hopes, will keep the brand fresh in people’s mind (not that most need reminding) and attract new customers across the world.
The changes are purely cosmetic, while the Thunderbird 350, Classic 350, Bullet Electra and the Bullet 350 are still powered by a 346-cc, 19.8 BHP / 28 Nm motor. The Thunderbird 500, Classic Desert Storm, Classic Chrome, Classic Battle Green, Classic 500 and Bullet 500 are powered by the 499-cc, 27.2 BHP / 41.3 Nm motor.
What’s New?
So apart from the redesigned logo, monogram and crest, the bikes get new paint options. The Continental GT, Classic Desert Storm, Classic Battle Green, Classic Chrome, Bullet Electra, Bullet 500 and Bullet 350 do not get new paint schemes. We’ll go over the paint options on each bike below:
Thunderbird 500 and Thunderbird 350
The Thunderbird series gets two new paint schemes, the Stone and Marine. The Lightning paint scheme has been carried over.
Classic 500
The Classic 500 gets an all new shade called the Tan, other paint options include the Black and Silver.
Classic 350
The Classic 350 gets the Lagoon, Ash, Black and Silver paint options.
