Royal Enfield is gearing up for its own makeover with a new lineup. Already reported to be launching a couple of new motorcycles, the two-wheeler giant is also readying the new generations of Classic, Bullet and Thunderbird.
Royal Enfield is going to launch its new lineup starting next year, the first ones being the new generation models. Ahead of that, the BS-6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has already started reaching dealerships. This indicates that the launch or maybe the unveil is nearing.
The new generation models will sit on a revised platform that is lighter and easy to handle. The models will also shed their weight by a few kilograms. The position of the sprocket and the rear brakes have been interchanged as well.

BS-6 Royal Enfield Classic, Thunderbird and Bullet will get a heavily reworked 350cc engine. The power figures might be increased and fuel injection will also be added. The 500cc engines, on the other hand, will be discontinued permanently.
Design changes will include revised rear fenders, optional alloy wheels, new Royal Enfield insignia and new colours as well. The ageing instrument console will also be replaced by an analogue pod with a small MID at the bottom. That will display the fuel reading, range, odometer and more.
All these changes will come on the Bullet and Thunderbird as well. Their more affordable counterparts, like now, will get stickers on the fuel tank instead of the 3D emblem and blacked-out components instead of chrome detailing.

All this is expected to increase the prices of Royal Enfield motorcycles by a significant margin. RE will definitely try to keep the hike as low as possible, so we expect prices to go up by atleast 10,000-15,000. Right now, the most affordable RE is the Bullet 350S, priced at Rs 1.14 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
