It has come to light that Royal Enfield, the iconic South India-based motorcycle manufacturer, is about to launch a new variant of the 350cc Thunderbird. Dubbed as the new 2018 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X, the new motorcycle has been spied at a dealership recently. There’s a good chance of this model being present at the fast-approaching Auto Expo 2018, where it would share the floor space with the upcoming Thunderbird 500X. As you can see in the images here, the motorcycle looks many styling updates that make it look fresher and arguably more attractive. There won’t be any change in the specifications. The new Thunderbird 350X is expected to have an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.70 lakh.

While the company is yet to let out an official word on the launch date of its new motorcycle, there are good chances that the new 2018 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X launch would take place at the Auto Expo 2018. The new motorcycle will make its debut alongside the Thunderbird 500X, which will boast same features.

Powering the new Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X is the same 346cc single-cylinder engine that powers the regular model. This single-cylinder is BSIV-compliant and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This engine outputs a maximum power of 19.8 BHP along with a peak torque of 28 Nm. Akin to the standard T’Bird 350, the new model gets telescopic forks up front and gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Both the wheels get a disc brake each.

The new Thunderbird 350 X looks fresher and arguably more stylish than the regular cruiser motorcycle from Royal Enfield. The new bike is available in as many as four new colours – Red, Yellow, Blue, and White. The 350X gets a dual-tone colour treatment. The new multi-spoke alloy wheels and all the cycle parts come painted in matte-black. The twin-seat arrangement has been replaced with a single seat. The side fenders get the new ‘350X’ badges. The tall handlebars of the regular T’bird 350 have been replaced with a flatter unit. Overall, the new bike impresses due to the several styling updates it carries.
